Greggs in Nottinghamshire

We’ve secured a trio of deals in Nottinghamshire on behalf of the British food favourite, Greggs.

Three new locations for the food-on-the-go retailer will open new chains in and around Nottingham, further expanding Greggs’ presence and foothold in the Midlands.

The first opened earlier this year in the Nottinghamshire town Arnold and saw the complete refurbishment of the 1,800 sq ft former New Look premises.

The other two locations secured are a former Lloyds bank in Carlton, with 1,400 sq ft of sales space which is already open and trading, as well as a former Dunkin Donuts in the popular Wilford Lane Retail Park which will open in the coming months.

Sam Hall, our associate director, said: “These openings in Arnold and Carlton are brilliant examples of how local town high streets have remained resilient through a challenging retail environment. The new locations show Greggs’ commitment to the high street, with the new larger store formats allowing for more customer seating and greater offering of their hot food range.

“Food and beverage operators such as Greggs are now key drivers of footfall on high street and town centre locations, which is indicative of changing consumer trends, favouring quick grab and go options.

“Wilford Lane Retail Park is another key addition to the Greggs portfolio. Prominent roadside units such as this ensure they benefit from strong levels of passing traffic and customers, as well as sitting next to several other complementing occupiers.

“In order to acquire these units, we utilised our knowledge of the East Midlands market to find the client the ideal properties, which will subsequently drive continued growth in the region.

“We have a strong relationship with Greggs, having helped secure dozens of units across our region over many years. We’re looking forward to seeing them utilise this fantastic space and working together in the future.”
