Challenge: To facilitate the letting of office space to a new tenant, manage the transition from the former tenant, and handle the ongoing service charge management.

  • Agency and development: Secured a significant letting agreement with the Department for Work and Pensions for c34,000sqft of office space and managed the simultaneous surrender with the former tenant, coordinating with building surveying colleagues for a smooth transition. 
  • Building consultancy: Collaborated on the agreement with the outgoing tenant regarding their dilapidation liabilities and the substantial fit-out stripping process.
  • Property & asset management: Post-letting, the team, led by Grace Conisbee MRICS, Management Surveyor, took on the service charge administration and management, establishing a revised budget and working closely with the tenants.
