NOTTINGHAM’S popular Roxy Ball Room entertainment venue is bringing their sister brand Roxy Lanes to the city following a multimillion pound refurbishment.

The 15,564 square foot lower ground floor of The Pod, next to The Lace Market tram stop, will be the new home for the popular Nottingham spot. This will be the second Roxy Leisure site in the city and first of its Roxy Lanes brand which is more family oriented with a wide range of games and activities for customers of any age to enjoy.

Sam Hall, our associate director who facilitated the deal, said: “This will be a great injection of new blood into The Lace Market’s already vibrant and thriving night life.

“We were originally engaged with The Pod’s landlord to provide advice across all the commercial elements, including the retail units and the offices across the upper floors. The gym which previously occupied the lower ground floor advised they would be vacating, leaving us to find a new occupier.

“We were able to marry up the space with Roxy Lanes as we knew they were looking for a new venue for its unique leisure offering that required a large and open plan layout, which is uncommon in the city centre.

“This landmark deal with Roxy is a good example of a wider trend we are seeing wherein there are increasing numbers of these kinds of venues and offerings opening in city centres. This shows a shift in consumer trends from traditional shopping to a more experience focused outings. Once its opened, I’m looking forward to visiting myself.”

Roxy Leisure’s sales and marketing director, Joel Mitchell, said: “Since opening our largest Roxy Ball Room venue in Nottingham on The Cornerhouse back in 2017, the site has always received the utmost support from the locals. We’re really looking forward to bringing our Roxy Lanes concept to the city. Not only will Roxy Lanes Nottingham feature ten-pin bowling and an exciting range of activities, it will also be family-friendly until 5pm, 7 days a week.”
