Helen joined Innes England in September 2026 as a Director within the Property & Asset Management team, bringing 25 years of experience managing a diverse range of commercial property assets.
Having graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management, Helen began her career in facilities management before moving into property surveying.
Throughout her career, she has worked with several leading property consultancies, primarily managing portfolios on behalf of institutional investment clients.
Her experience spans a wide variety of property types, including student accommodation, industrial properties, prestigious central London office buildings and retail parks. She has also managed major leisure destinations, including the Xscape centres during her time at X-Leisure.
At Innes England, Helen plays a key role in supporting the continued development of the Property & Asset Management department. Her responsibilities include strengthening internal processes, improving operational efficiencies and supporting the team in delivering a consistent, high-quality service to clients.
Drawing on her extensive experience, Helen is also involved in developing new opportunities for the department, supporting its growth and helping to secure new management instructions.
Outside of work, Helen has a passion for travelling and has visited every continent, including spending two years living in Australia.
These days, much of her travelling involves driving her son to his various clubs and social activities, a role she jokingly describes as being an unpaid Uber driver with a very poor rating!
Helen is also a keen Formula 1 fan and has set herself the challenge of visiting every Grand Prix venue on the F1 calendar. With four circuits already ticked off, she has plenty more to explore.
And an unusual fact about Helen? Despite spending much of her property management career arranging pest control services, she once kept pet rats!

The Challenge: Over 25 years, Innes England has acted on behalf of multiple owners – Evans of Leeds, F & C REIT, Harworth and Hortons Estates handling the adjacent industrial estates at Derby Distribution Centre, Sinfin Central and more recently Sinfin Commercial Park. Derby Distribution Centre, the largest second-hand warehouse in Derby, presented a unique challenge to market and let with accommodation ranging from 80,000 sq ft to 400,000 sq ft of flexible second-hand space. Sinfin Commercial Park comprises a 30 acre site consisting of some 21 units from 3,000 sq ft up to 207,000 sq ft.
The Challenge: Following the liquidation of the previous tenant, Units C and D at Melton Mowbray Commercial Park, totalling 13,371 sq ft, were left vacant. The challenge was to quickly secure a new tenant for the space, minimising the void period and ensuring the property’s modernised facilities were effectively showcased to attract interest in a competitive market.
